The Currency of Corruption
I'm not religious myself, but I thought I'd express my dislike for power and corruption. I find that power, in terms of politics and ways of 'getting ahead', usually doesn't come from a good place, and that most at the top got there from doing bad things.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Digital Art
In celebration of president Obama winning the 2012 election, I thought I would do art of Martin Luther King, Jr. I am definitely for Obama Care, there are so many people hard up for money, not being able to afford cancer treatment or for such diseases is horrible. And president Obama is a very intelligent and well spoken person, I'm glad he is getting a second term.
There were a whole lot of quotes, some of which would have been a lot easier on me lol. One aspect to that is I had to write it, because I can't copy and paste into the program I use. However, I felt this one stood out and I couldn't have said it better, the reason why bad things happen is because people let it happen, by accepting it or staying quiet. Martin Luther King, Jr. died for speaking out, to cause change, in hope of a better tomorrow, so I find it the right pick.
If you're wondering how it did it, I use a free program call Gimp, it's like Photoshop, but not 700 dollars haha. I used the paint brush tool to paint on layer after layer, then changed the opacity of and blurred some layers to blend it in. I also used the paint bucket tool on the flag, kind of gave it a cool effect.

Original. Credit: The New York Times. I'm pretty sure MLK is from a rural area, but I thought the city backdrop would look cool. I'm from a rural area myself and I like it very much.

Mission Statement
I would like to volunteer online creating digital art media for various causes. However, I don't have an education in the subject, so I thought I would build a portfolio on here. Including digital art that was inspired by and for the music I dabbled in.
